We stay at 0.5 mm or shallower. Deeper needling is a medical procedure. Diagram is illustrative and not to scale.

How Noemi approaches it

Microneedling makes tiny, controlled channels in the top layer of skin, and your skin responds by renewing itself. We keep it cosmetic: needle depths of 0.5 mm or less, a brand-new sterile cartridge for every session, and a free consultation before your first one. It takes a series to see a difference. Deeper needling, often used for deep scars, is a medical procedure and belongs with a dermatologist.

Consult first. A free 15-minute consultation is required before your first session. We check your skin, your health history, and whether this is the right treatment at all.

What it can do

  • Softens rough texture and the look of enlarged pores
  • Improves the look of shallow, rolling acne marks over a series
  • Gives a smoother, more even look to the skin

What it can't do

  • Treat deep, pitted scars: that takes medical needling, lasers, or subcision from a dermatologist
  • Go deeper than 0.5 mm: deeper needling is a medical procedure
  • Work in one visit: plan on three sessions

Safety first

Not today if...

These are the reasons we'd pause, change the treatment, or ask you to check with your doctor first. Your intake form asks about each one, so nothing gets missed.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Active acne, a cold sore, a rash, or an infection in the area
  • Isotretinoin (Accutane) in the last 6 months
  • A history of keloid scarring
  • Blood thinners or a bleeding disorder
  • Retinoids in the last 5 to 7 days, or a peel in the last 2 weeks
  • A recent sunburn
  • A condition that slows healing, such as uncontrolled diabetes (we ask for your doctor's okay)

How the appointment goes

Times are a guide. You can ask questions, pause, or say stop at any point.

  1. Before day 1

    Free consultation

15 minutes, in person or by video. If microneedling is not right for you, we'll tell you what is.

  2. 0 to 25 min

    Numbing cream

A topical numbing cream sits for about 20 minutes while we talk through aftercare.

  3. 25 to 35 min

    Cleanse and prep

Numbing cream off, skin cleaned with an antiseptic, new cartridge opened in front of you.

  4. 35 to 60 min

    Needling

Passes at 0.25 to 0.5 mm, lighter on thin skin. Feels like fine sandpaper with numbing in place.

  5. 60 to 75 min

    Calm and protect

A cooling mask, a simple serum, SPF, and your aftercare sheet.

The days after

  1. Day 0

Red, like a mild sunburn. No makeup for 24 hours.

  2. Days 1 to 2

Pink, tight, and a little dry. Gentle cleanser and moisturizer only.

  3. Days 3 to 5

Mild flaking. Skip actives until day 5.

  4. Weeks 4 to 6

Texture keeps improving. Time for the next session.

Keep home care simple for a few days: gentle cleanser, moisturizer, SPF.

Prices in US dollars. New clients pay a $25 deposit that comes off the bill. Cancel at least 24 hours ahead and there's no charge.

Questions people ask

All FAQs
Does it hurt?

With numbing cream on, most people describe it as scratchy or buzzy, not painful. The bony areas (forehead, jaw) feel it more. We can stop or go lighter at any time.

How is this different from what a dermatologist does?

Depth and purpose. We stay shallow and cosmetic, for texture and the look of shallow marks. Dermatologists and physicians can go deeper and treat scars medically.

When will I see a difference?

Some people notice smoother skin after the first week. Real change in texture takes a series of three, and your skin keeps improving for weeks after the last one.
