What it is
Sometimes the people, places and stress at home make it too hard to begin. Our residential house is a quiet place to live for a few weeks while you get steady: 12 beds, a big kitchen table, a fire pit out back, and staff on site day and night.
Days have a rhythm without feeling like a schedule run by a clipboard. Mornings are for groups and one-to-one counseling. Afternoons mix skills work with walks, chores and time to yourself. Evenings are quieter, with peer support meetings and family calls.
Before you leave, we set up your next step together, most often our intensive outpatient program, so you are not starting over on your own.
This may fit if
- You have tried outpatient care and it was hard to stay with it while living at home
- Home is not safe or not supportive right now
- You need structure every day for a while
- You are coming straight from detox and want to keep going
Please start somewhere else if
- You can keep your job and home routine and want to: our outpatient programs may fit better
- You need hospital-level psychiatric care: we will help you find it first
Emergency: 911. Crisis: call or text 988. Poison Help: 1-800-222-1222.

Cost and insurance
What it costs, honestly
Many private plans and Montana Medicaid cover residential treatment when it is medically needed, usually with approval first and check-ins along the way. We do those calls with your plan and tell you what we hear.
How insurance works hereSelf-pay ranges
- Residential treatment Self-pay rate before insurance, includes room and meals
- $650 to $950 per day
Ranges, not quotes. Your real cost depends on your plan, your deductible and the care you choose. We tell you before you start.
Questions about residential
Can I have my phone?
Yes, with some quiet hours. Phones stay in your room during groups and overnight. We would rather help you use your phone well than take it away.
Can my family visit?
Yes. Visiting is Sunday afternoons after your first week, and family sessions can happen sooner by video. You decide who visits.
Do I have to go to 12-step meetings?
No. We offer a few kinds of peer support, including 12-step and SMART Recovery style meetings, and you choose what fits.
Other programs
Confidential, always
Ready when you are. Or when they are.
Start a confidential intake in about five minutes, or call and talk it through with a real person. No pressure, no lecture, and nothing is decided until you say so.
Not for emergencies. If someone may be overdosing, call 911. In crisis, call or text 988.
