Our team
The people you'll meet.
Physicians, nurse practitioners, licensed counselors, nurses and peer coaches who chose this work on purpose. Most have been here for years, so you are not starting over with someone new every month.
Same counselor at every level
Why illustrations instead of photos?
Many people in recovery, including some of our peer coaches, keep their recovery private, a long tradition in the recovery community. Rather than show some faces and not others, we use the same simple portrait for everyone. You will meet them all in person.
Clinical leadership
Medical and mental health care, and the people who shape our programs.
-
Dr. Hannah Okafor, MD
Medical director, addiction medicine
Family physician who has focused on addiction medicine for more than a decade. Leads detox and the medication clinic, and still sees patients every week.
-
Luis Arredondo, PMHNP-BC
Psychiatric nurse practitioner
Treats anxiety, depression, PTSD and ADHD alongside substance use. Known for explaining every medicine twice, slowly, without being asked.
-
Megan Trask, LCPC
Clinical director
Licensed clinical professional counselor. Built our evening IOP track after hearing, over and over, that people could not leave work at 2 p.m.
Care team
The nurses, counselors and coordinators you will see most.
-
Ruth Calloway, RN
Nursing lead, detox unit
Twenty years of nursing, the last nine in withdrawal care. Runs the unit's night routines and the free monthly naloxone class.
-
Erin Bauer, LAC
Family program lead
Licensed addiction counselor and CRAFT-trained family coach. Leads Tuesday family group and the monthly family weekend.
-
Marisol Vega
Admissions coordinator
Often the first voice people hear. Checks insurance, answers questions without judgment, and makes sure nobody gets lost between steps.
Peer recovery coaches
People in long-term recovery. First names and initials only, by their choice.
-
Sam K.
Peer recovery coach
In long-term recovery from alcohol use. Leads the Saturday alumni walk and helps people find meetings that feel right.
