STRIDE Movement Clinic

First session

Know exactly what to expect

Sixty minutes, one-on-one, and you leave with a plan. Here's the whole thing, minute by minute — so the only unknown left is which exercise Nadia gives you first.

Before you arrive

The prep is 10 minutes

  1. Book online (about a minute)

Pick your discipline, practitioner, clinic, and time. Your confirmation lands by email right away.

  2. Fill in the intake form at home

The email includes a short digital intake — history, goals, insurance details. Doing it on the couch means visit one starts at the assessment, not a clipboard.

  3. Dress to move

Shorts for legs and knees, a tank or loose tee for shoulders and necks. Coming from work is fine — both clinics have change space, Mount Pleasant has showers.

  4. Bring the paperwork that matters

Insurance card for direct billing; claim number if it's ICBC or WorkSafeBC; imaging reports or surgical protocols if you have them (helpful, never required).

In the room

The hour, minute by minute

This is the physiotherapy initial assessment; chiropractic runs the same arc in 45 minutes, concussion care in 75. Massage swaps the movement screen for a focused intake.

  1. Minutes 0–15

    Your story, properly heard

What happened, what it's stopping you from doing, what you want back. Goals go in the chart in your words — 'run the Chilkoot in September' beats 'reduce pain'.

  2. Minutes 15–40

    The measured assessment

Movement screen, strength and range baselines, special tests where they earn their keep. Every number is recorded — these are the baselines your progress gets measured against.

  3. Minutes 40–50

    The explanation

Plain language: what's going on, what the plan is, how many visits we expect, what it costs. Questions welcome; jargon translated on request.

  4. Minutes 50–60

    Treatment starts today

First round of hands-on work plus your first two or three home exercises — video links, sets, and reps sent before you reach the parking lot.

After you leave

Same-day follow-through

Your plan, in writing

Findings, visit count, timeline, and fees land in your inbox the same day.

A homework plan you'll actually do

2–4 exercises, built to fit in 15 minutes. Short program you do beats perfect program you don't.

Direct billing, done

We submit to your insurer before you leave — you pay only the portion your plan doesn't cover.

Need to reschedule? Life happens — just give us 24 hours' notice to change or cancel. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are billed at 50% of the visit fee; no-shows are billed in full.

That's the whole mystery //

Sixty minutes from now-ish, you could have a plan. Book the assessment and we'll take it from there.
