Our team
Friendly people who explain things
Two orthodontists and a small team you will get to know well over the next year or two. Same faces at every visit, as much as we can manage.
Small on purpose
Kids remember who made them laugh on bonding day. Adults remember who answered the question they felt silly asking. We keep the team small so you see the same people from consult to braces-off day.
- Two orthodontists, both with specialty training
- Assistants who do your scans and adjustments
- One coordinator for fees and insurance
- One front desk lead for scheduling
Our orthodontists
-
Dr. Maya Okafor-Lind
Orthodontist and co-founder, DDS, MS
Dr. Maya grew up in Eau Claire, trained as a dentist, then spent three more years in an orthodontic residency. She sees most of our kids and teens and is known for explaining everything with a teeth model in hand. She will happily tell a parent that waiting is the better plan.
Fun fact: Has a colored-tie chart on her office door, ranked by teen vote.
-
Dr. Theo Brandvold
Orthodontist, DMD, MS
Dr. Theo leads our adult and surgical cases. He coordinates with dentists, gum specialists and oral surgeons across Dane County, so adult patients get one plan instead of three. He keeps early and late appointment slots for people who work regular hours.
Fun fact: Wore braces twice: once at 13, again at 34 after skipping his retainer.
The people you will see most
-
Rosa Delgado
Treatment coordinator
Rosa walks every family through fees, insurance and monthly plans. She checks benefits before the consult so the numbers you see are your numbers.
Fun fact: Can explain a lifetime maximum in under a minute.
-
Hannah Pruitt
Front desk and scheduling lead
Hannah runs the schedule and finds after-school slots that do not exist on paper. She answers most calls and texts.
Fun fact: Keeps a basket of spare aligner cases at the desk.
-
Lila Novak
Orthodontic assistant, 3D scanning
Lila takes most of our scans and photos. She is the reason nobody here uses goopy impression trays anymore.
Fun fact: Has scanned over a thousand smiles, gag-free.
-
Andre Coleman
Orthodontic assistant
Andre handles adjustments and braces-off days. Teens tend to request him by name, mostly for his color advice.
Fun fact: Coaches a youth soccer team and hands out mouthguards.
Working with your dentist
Keep seeing your family dentist for cleanings during treatment. With your permission, we send them your plan and progress notes, and we coordinate with gum specialists and oral surgeons when a case needs it.
Come meet us. The first visit is on us.
Exam, photos, a 3D scan and a written plan with the price. About an hour, and no pressure to start.
