Fernwell exists because too many pest jobs are sold on fear and renewed on autopilot. We built the opposite: a small licensed crew, integrated pest management as the default, and pricing you can read before you call.

Started in vector control, allergic to upsells
Cole Branagh spent his twenties doing public-health pest work for Multnomah County — the kind where you solve the problem because nobody's paying for a subscription. Fernwell opened in 2014 with one truck and that habit intact. Twelve years later it's four technicians and a shop on Ramona Street, and the habit is policy: identify before treating, exclude before spraying, and when the honest answer is "you don't need us," that's the answer you get.
Every technician holds their own Oregon Department of Agriculture applicator licence — nobody rides solo as a trainee — and every one of them can explain what's in the tank, why it's the least-toxic option that will work, and when the right tool is a caulking gun instead.
