Straight answers

The questions people actually ask on the phone, answered the way we answer them on the phone. If yours isn't here, call — a technician picks up, not a script.

Is the online quote the real price?

It's a real range built from your answers, and the top of the range is a ceiling, not a warm-up. Your technician confirms the exact price on site before any work starts — if the job is smaller than you described, you pay less than the range, never more without your sign-off.

Do I have to sign a contract for quarterly service?

No. Plans run visit to visit after your third visit — pause or cancel with a phone call. We keep customers with visit notes and free re-treats, not termination clauses.

Is the treatment safe for my kids and pets?

Our re-entry times are published on the Eco & Safety page and repeated on your visit note: exterior bands need 1–2 hours to dry, interior gel and dust placements have no re-entry wait because they're inside cracks and voids, and rodent bait only ever lives in locked exterior stations. Tell us about aquariums, reptiles, and birds when you book — they change what we use.

Do I need to leave the house during service?

For most jobs, no — exterior work and crack-and-crevice placements don't require it. Kitchens being treated for roaches should be empty during the visit itself. The exceptions are bed bug treatments, which have their own prep sheet with timing.

Why won't you quote bed bugs or termites online?

Because the honest price varies too much. A caught-early bed bug case and a spread one differ by four figures; termite pricing depends on linear footage and construction. Both start with a modest inspection fee that's credited toward treatment. Anyone quoting those sight-unseen is guessing — and the guess never lands in your favour.

Do you actually need to spray inside every visit?

No, and we usually don't. Routine interior baseboard spraying is the industry's biggest piece of theatre. Interior work happens when there's an interior target — otherwise, the durable work is outside at the entry points.

What if the pests come back after a one-time treatment?

One-time jobs include a 30-day recheck (rodents: two follow-ups over ~4 weeks; roaches: a follow-up at 2–3 weeks). If the same problem rebounds inside that window, the return visit is free. On quarterly plans, covered-pest re-treats are free all year.

One-time or quarterly — which should I pick?

If you have one problem (a wasp nest, one ant invasion), buy the one-time job; it would be dishonest to sell you a plan for that. Quarterly earns its keep when pressure is chronic — greenway rodents, every-spring ants, spiders you're done negotiating with.

What do you use, exactly?

Mostly gel baits, insect growth regulators, void dusts, and targeted non-repellent liquids — all EPA-registered, all listed on your visit note with placement and concentration. The least-toxic option that will actually work is the first one we reach for, and 'nothing plus a caulking gun' is a real and frequent prescription.

Will rain wash the exterior treatment away?

This is Portland; our products are chosen accordingly. Foundation-band materials bind to the surface once dry (1–2 hours) and hold through normal rain. If a storm hits during that drying window, we come back and reapply free.

Do you handle commercial spaces?

Light commercial, yes — cafés, restaurants, offices, retail, small multifamily. Food-handling spaces get a walk-through before final pricing and documented service that satisfies health inspections. Large warehouses and food processing are outside our lane, and we'll say so.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Oregon Department of Agriculture commercial operator licence, every technician individually licensed (no trainees riding solo), bonded and insured to $2M. Licence numbers are printed on every quote and every visit note.
