Receipts, not renderings
Six installs, with the production numbers attached
Every project below lists what our design model estimated for year one and what the roof actually produced. Some come in over, some under — publishing both is the point. Estimates that can't be checked are just marketing.

01 · Timnath, CO · 2024
Two-story new build
South and west arrays split across two roof planes. The owners heat with a heat pump, so we sized for the winter load — not the brochure.
- System size
- 11.2 kW · 26 panels
- Inverter
- Microinverters
- Estimated yr-1 production
- 16,100 kWh
- Actual yr-1 production
- 16,460 kWh (+2.2% vs. estimate)

02 · Fort Collins, CO · 2023
Midtown block — three neighbors, one street
Three separate systems installed in one week after neighbors compared quotes together. Year one came in 2% under estimate — a hail-delay spring. We publish that too.
- System size
- 19.4 kW · 45 panels
- Inverter
- String + optimizers
- Estimated yr-1 production
- 27,900 kWh
- Actual yr-1 production
- 27,310 kWh (−2.1% vs. estimate)

03 · Windsor, CO · 2024
Harvest Crossing townhomes
Eight attached townhomes, one shared scaffold plan, eight separate meters. HOA-approved layout kept every array off the street-facing elevation.
- System size
- 28.8 kW · 67 panels
- Inverter
- Microinverters
- Estimated yr-1 production
- 41,800 kWh
- Actual yr-1 production
- 42,350 kWh (+1.3% vs. estimate)

04 · Red Feather Lakes, CO · 2023
Standing-seam mountain cabin
Clamp-mounted to the standing-seam metal roof — zero penetrations. Sized conservatively for mountain snow cover; the owner sees panels shed snow by mid-morning most days.
- System size
- 6 kW · 14 panels
- Inverter
- Microinverters + battery-ready
- Estimated yr-1 production
- 7,700 kWh
- Actual yr-1 production
- 7,480 kWh (−2.9% vs. estimate)

05 · Loveland, CO · 2024
Re-roof + solar combo
The roof had 6 years left, so we said: re-roof first. The owners did, we installed two weeks later, and both warranties now start from the same date.
- System size
- 8.2 kW · 19 panels
- Inverter
- String + optimizers
- Estimated yr-1 production
- 11,900 kWh
- Actual yr-1 production
- 12,140 kWh (+2.0% vs. estimate)

06 · Wellington, CO · 2026
Wellington ranch — install day
On the roof at 7:40 a.m., racking by lunch, panels set by 4 p.m. Installed this spring — year-one production posts here in 2027, actual vs. estimate, like every project.
- System size
- 9.6 kW · 22 panels
- Inverter
- Microinverters
- Estimated yr-1 production
- 14,300 kWh
- Actual yr-1 production
- installed 2026 — posts here in 2027
Why estimates miss: weather varies year to year — a hail-delay spring or a smoky August moves production a few percent either way. A model that's always "right" is a model nobody is checking.
No pressure — literally
