Every result on this page is an example outcome, written for a sample website. We do not show dollar amounts, because no number from one case tells you what another case is worth. Every case is different, and past results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome in any other case.

Most firms only show their wins. We show the cases that went well, the ones that came out modest, and the ones that did not work, because you should know all three can happen.

  • Example outcome Settled before a lawsuit
    Motorcycle accidents

Left turn across a rider's lane

A driver turned left into a gas station across an oncoming rider and said the bike was speeding. The rider broke his wrist and collarbone.

What happened: Video from the gas station showed the rider at a normal speed. The driver's insurer paid its policy limit, and the rider's own underinsured coverage added more.

What we took from it Business video near an intersection is often the whole case. It has to be requested in days, not weeks.

  • Example outcome Settled before a lawsuit
    Bicycle accidents

Doored in a downtown bike lane

A parked driver opened a door into a cyclist's path. The insurer said the cyclist was riding too fast and too close to the cars.

What happened: The cyclist's ride file showed a steady, moderate speed inside the lane. The claim settled for her medical bills, lost work and pain, without a lawsuit.

What we took from it Bike computer data is honest evidence. Save the file before it syncs or gets deleted.

  • Example outcome Trial, reduced by shared fault
    Pedestrian accidents

Hit while crossing mid-block at night

A man crossed mid-block, away from the corner, and was hit by a driver going over the limit. He broke his leg.

What happened: The case went to trial. The jury found the driver mostly at fault, but held the client 40 percent at fault for crossing where he did. His award was reduced by that share.

What we took from it Shared fault is real. We tell clients early how it may cut a recovery, so nobody is surprised.

  • Example outcome Settled before a lawsuit
    Rideshare accidents

Passenger hurt on the way to the airport

A rideshare passenger was hurt when her driver rear-ended a truck. The driver's personal insurer denied the claim.

What happened: Trip records showed a ride was active at the time of the crash. The claim was paid under the trip's commercial policy.

What we took from it App status decides which policy pays. Ask for the trip records in writing, early.

  • Example outcome Modest settlement
    Bus accidents

    Thrown during a hard stop

A standing passenger fell when a city bus braked hard. She bruised her hip and needed eight weeks of physical therapy.

What happened: Onboard video showed the stop was sudden but partly caused by a car cutting in. The claim settled for a modest amount that covered her medical bills and lost wages.

What we took from it Not every claim is large. A fair result can be one that simply makes you whole.

  • Example outcome No recovery
    Hit-and-run crashes

Clipped at night by a car that never stopped

A driver was sideswiped on a dark road. No one saw the other car, and no cameras covered that stretch.

What happened: Without a witness or video, the client's policy did not allow the uninsured motorist claim. We explained why, closed the file and charged no fee.

What we took from it Some hit-and-run claims cannot be proven. We would rather tell you that plainly than drag it out.

  • Example outcome Arbitration award
    Uninsured and underinsured motorist claims

Her own insurer made a low offer

A woman was hit by an uninsured driver. Her own insurer offered a fraction of her UM limit and said her back injury was old.

What happened: Her medical records showed no back treatment in the ten years before the crash. The arbitrator awarded more than the insurer's last offer.

What we took from it Your own insurer is the other side in a UM claim. Prepare it like any other case.

  • Example outcome Partial result
    Drunk-driver crashes

Rear-ended by a driver later convicted of OVI

A family was rear-ended at a light by a driver who had been drinking at a nearby bar. Two passengers had neck and back injuries.

What happened: The claim against the driver settled. A claim against the bar was dropped after its video showed the driver did not appear drunk when served.

What we took from it Bar claims in Ohio are narrow. We check the evidence before we add one, and drop it when the facts are not there.

These are invented examples for a sample website. They show the kinds of results a road injury firm might describe. Every case is different, and past results do not guarantee or predict a similar outcome in any other case.
