Local-first
Maria + David live two miles from the gym. Their kids go to Westfield schools. Community partnerships go beyond business; they're how the gym fits in.
Six standing partnerships across Westfield. Riverview Hospital, the school district, the Heart 5K, the cross-country team, the wellness fair, Grand Junction Brewing. Real ties; long-term; volunteer hours; no transactional sponsorships.
350-employee hospital just south of Westfield. We have 47 active members from Riverview's nursing + administrative staff. 15% off Tier 02. Maria coordinates onboarding monthly.
Public school district staff. 28 active members. Free trial extended to 14 days for school employees (we know teachers' schedules). 15% off Tier 02.
May each year. We sponsor the race shirts + finish-line water. About 600 runners; we coach a free 6-week training group leading up to it (50+ runners join, weekly Saturday).
Maria coaches the girls' team (her daughter Mia runs). David runs strength + injury-prevention sessions for the team monthly. Equipment loaned during off-season.
Annual September fair. We staff a booth, do free fitness assessments, hand out trial passes. Maria sits on the wellness committee. About 240 students through the booth in 2024.
Block away. We send members for their post-workout social; they send their team to us for fitness. We host a monthly run-club run that ends at GJ. Mutual loyalty discount.
Local-first, long-term, volunteer-hours, stay-small-to-stay-close. The four principles aren't aspirational; they're how Maria and David actually run the gym.

Same partnerships as 6 years ago. We don't churn through one-off sponsorships. Riverview, Westfield Schools, Heart 5K — multi-year commitments.
When we partner, we volunteer the time. Maria coaches cross country on her own time. David runs injury-prevention sessions free. We don't bill these hours.
Capped membership lets us know who's who. Most members can put a name to Maria, David, and at least 2 of the 6 trainers within a month.
