The person behind the desk

Nine years of Westfield High PE.
Now it's her gym.

Dana Kowalski grew up on Poplar Street, taught a decade of Westfield kids to love moving, and opened this club in 2021 because the nearest gym she trusted was a 25-minute drive. Her franchise agreement covers the logo. Everything else — the coaches, the partners, the Saturday chaos — is hers.

Why Westfield? Meet Dana

“I taught PE at Westfield High for nine years — my whole job was making people who 'aren't gym people' feel at home. Still is.”

Dana Kowalski — owner & head coach, NASM-CPT · B.S. Kinesiology, Ball State

Why this page reads different

The corporate template says one thing. Your neighbors want specifics.

Every location's page says “State-of-the-art equipment for every fitness goal.”

This one says 4 power racks, 2 deadlift platforms, dumbbells to 110 lb — the full inventory is printed on the location page.

See the equipment list →

Every location's page says “Our friendly staff is here to help.”

This one says The owner is Dana Kowalski. She taught PE at Westfield High for nine years and she's at the desk most mornings.

Every location's page says “Conveniently located to serve you better.”

This one says Across the lot from Grand Junction Plaza, next door to Juniper Juice Bar, two doors from Rooted Physio. Saturdays, the Striders run leaves from our lot.

Find your fit

Three questions. Zero clipboard.

Tell us your goal, where you're starting from, and when you'd actually come. You get a membership recommendation with the reasoning spelled out, the coach who fits you — by name — and two real classes off this week's timetable to start with.

Start the quiz

  1. Your goal Stronger? More energy? Training for a date on the calendar? Moving without pain?
  2. Your starting point Brand new, back after a break, or experienced — no judgment, different plan.
  3. Your real schedule 5 AM crew, lunch crowd, evenings, or 24/7 odd hours. The fob doesn't care.

Straight prices, month-to-month

Three memberships. No contract. Ever.

Enrollment is $49 once (or $0 on the Hometown Heroes offer), every price is printed, and canceling is a tap in the app — not a certified letter.

Run club

Westfield Striders Run Club

The Saturday group run leaves from our parking lot at 7 AM — three pace groups, water and bathrooms on us, no membership needed.

Flex Total members get their annual Striders dues covered.

Physiotherapy clinic

Rooted Physio & Sport

Two doors down. They send us their discharged patients; we send them our tweaked shoulders. Rob co-runs a monthly Backs & Knees workshop with their PTs.

Bring your discharge sheet and your first coached session with Rob is free.

Smoothie bar next door

Juniper Juice Bar

Shares our wall. Half their smoothie menu is named after our classes — the 'Sunrise' has espresso in it for a reason.

Neighbors, in their own words

What the reviews actually say

“I've lived off Union Street for 12 years and this is the first gym in Westfield where the owner knew my name by week two. The 5:30 AM crew is a genuine little community.”

Beth H. · Flex Plus · joined February 2024

“Rooted Physio discharged me after knee surgery and Rob literally read my discharge sheet before my first session. Six months later I did the Striders 10K from the gym's parking lot.”

Marcus T. · Flex Total · joined June 2023

“Family Saturday is the reason we joined. My kids do the Tiny Tumblers hour while my husband and I actually work out. Then smoothies at Juniper. It's the best 90 minutes of our week.”

Priya R. · Flex Plus × 2 · joined September 2024

“Night-shift nurse at Riverview — I train at 2 AM and never feel unsafe. Lot's bright, door logs every entry, and there's an alarm pendant at the desk if you want one. They thought about it.”
