Access & rules

Gate hours, the rules, and what can't go in a unit.

Short version: use your own code, lock up every time, and keep anything that burns, rots or breathes out of your unit. The long version is below, in plain words.

When you can get in

The gate and the office keep different hours. You don't need the office open to reach your unit.

Gate not opening, or a code that stopped working? Call (480) 555-0136. Someone answers from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week.

The gate rules

Eight rules that keep everyone's stuff safe.

They're in your lease too. Most are about the gate, because a gate only works if everyone uses it the same way.

Use your own code every time

Even when the gate is already open. The keypad log is how we know who was on site.

  2. 02

    One car per gate cycle

Wait for the gate to close behind you. Don't let anyone follow you in, even a neighbor you recognize.

  3. 03

    Your code is yours alone

Need family or an employee to get in? Add them as an authorized user and they get their own code.

  4. 04

Lock up every time you leave

Use your own lock. We never keep a key, so we can't open your unit for anyone, including you.

  5. 05

10 mph, and keep the aisle clear

Park beside your door, not across the aisle, so the next person can get by with their truck.

  6. 06

    You can always get out

The exit opens from inside after hours. Plan to be done by 10:00 p.m.; the entry keypad stops taking codes then.

  7. 07

No living or working in units

No sleeping, no shop open to the public, and no vehicle repairs beyond a battery charge or a tire check.

  8. 08

    Take your trash with you

Our dumpsters are for site use only. Leaving furniture or bags behind costs a cleanup fee.

What you can't store

If it burns, rots, breathes or breaks the law, it stays out.

These aren't covered by any protection plan, and finding them in a unit is grounds to end a lease. If you're not sure about something, ask before you bring it.

  • Anything that burns or explodes

    • Gasoline, diesel or kerosene in cans
    • Propane tanks, full or empty
    • Paint thinner, solvents and oil-based stains
    • Fireworks, explosives and ammunition
  • Anything hazardous

    • Pool chemicals and pesticides
    • Car batteries outside a vehicle
    • Asbestos, medical waste or anything toxic
  • Anything alive or perishable

    • Food of any kind, including pet food
    • Plants and animals
    • Anything wet or damp (it molds in a closed unit)
  • Anything illegal

    • Stolen goods
    • Illegal drugs
    • Anything you can't legally own in Arizona

Allowed, but we'd rather you didn't

Cash, jewelry and coins, irreplaceable photos and documents, prescription medication, anything worth more than your protection covers. A storage unit isn't a safe, and protection plans have caps.

Letting someone else in

Add authorized users at the office or by email from the address on your lease. Each person gets their own gate code. They'll still need a key to your lock, and you can remove them any time.

Moving out

Tell us before your next billing day, by phone, email or in person. Empty and sweep the unit, take your lock off, and leave the door closed. We check it the same day and send a final statement. Partial months aren't refunded.

Ready when you are

Reserve in about four minutes. Pay nothing until move-in.

Pick a unit, a move-in date and your protection. We hold it free until 7 days after your date. No card needed to reserve.
