Climate-controlled

Climate-controlled storage

Indoor units kept between 55°F and 80°F all year, behind a second locked door.

How it works here

Climate units are inside our buildings, off clean, lit hallways. The air is cooled in summer and heated on the few cold nights we get, so the inside of your unit stays between about 55°F and 80°F year round.

You also get a second layer of security: the building doors take your gate code too, and the hallways have recorded cameras. Flat carts and, at Chandler, two freight elevators make the longer walk easy.

Good for

  • Wood furniture and mattresses
  • Electronics, photos and records
  • Business papers and inventory that can't cook
  • Anything you'd be sad to see warp

Plain truth

Do you actually need it?

Not always. If you're storing for a month in winter, or it's patio furniture and tools, drive-up is fine and cheaper. For summer storage of anything with glue, wood, electronics or paper in it, climate control is worth the extra $16 to $40 a month.
