Tasting
Reserve Cellar Tasting
Six small-lot and library wines in the cool of the barrel cellar, with a local cheese plate.
- Fee
- $45 per guest
- Time
- 75 minutes
- Group
- 2 to 6 guests
What to expect
Downstairs, among the barrels, we open the wines we make in small amounts: single-block Rieslings, older vintages from the library, and a red drawn straight from the barrel.
It's a slower, quieter tasting for people who like to compare. Your host pours side by side so you can taste what a year, or a slope, changes.
- Block 4 Riesling Our oldest vines, single block
- Library Riesling 2016 Ten years in bottle, honey and petrol
- Skin-contact Grüner Small lot, textured and orange-tinted
- Lemberger Blackberry and spice
- Reserve Cabernet Franc Two years in French oak
- Barrel sample Next year's red, straight from the barrel
Included
- Six pours, including one library wine and one barrel sample
- A plate of three regional cheeses with bread
- A printed tasting sheet to take home
- Members' pricing on any wine you taste that day
Good to know
- The cellar stays near 58°F all year; bring a layer.
- Reached by stairs. Tell us when you book and we'll host it upstairs in the library room instead.
- 21+ only, valid photo ID for every guest in the cellar.
