Mobile truck repair

A service truck at your yard for PMs, inspections and repairs that don't need a lift, so your units lose an hour instead of a day.

Overview

Bringing a truck to the shop costs a driver, a day and sometimes a second truck. For a lot of work, it doesn't have to. Our two service trucks carry the tools, fluids and common parts to do PMs, DOT inspections, air and electrical repairs and diagnostics right in your yard.

Mobile visits are booked like shop work, with a written estimate first. The trip charge is per visit, not per truck, so the math works best when several units are due together. If we find something that needs a lift or a pit, we tell you on the spot and book the bay.

Our yard rules are simple: we need a safe, level place to work, the units chocked and aired up, and someone who can move a truck if needed.

Call us about

  • Several units due for PMs or annual inspections at once
  • Air leaks, lights, gladhands or electrical faults at the yard
  • A truck that won't start in your lot
  • Reefer trailers that can't leave the dock
  • You'd rather lose an hour per truck than a whole day

Every job includes

  • Written estimate before the visit for planned work
  • One trip charge per visit, however many units we work on
  • Same checklists and reports as in the shop
  • Photos of findings sent with the invoice
  • A bay booked on the spot if the job needs a lift

What the service truck carries

  • Common parts stock Filters, air fittings, gladhands, lamps, wiring and fuses
  • Crane and jacks Wheel and tire work and heavier components
  • Lighting and safety gear Work lights, cones, triangles and reflective gear

Yard rules, plainly

A safe, level spot to work. Units chocked and aired up. Someone on site who can move a truck. If the yard isn't safe to work in, we will say so and reschedule rather than take the risk.
