About this course
Glaze is where good pots get ruined, mostly because nobody tested first. This course starts with safety and food-safe basics, then teaches you to make test tiles that answer a question, apply glaze at the right thickness, and read the four most common faults instead of guessing.
You'll make
- A test-tile board for two glazes at four thicknesses
- A layering grid you can reuse for every new glaze
- A short list of glazes you trust on your clay
What you need
- Access to a glaze firing (see Firing Without a Kiln)
- A respirator rated for fine dust if you mix dry materials (lesson one explains which)
- A notebook. Seriously.
