About this course
A mug is the pot people use every single day, so they notice everything: the lip, the weight, where the thumb lands. This course covers three mug shapes, three handle methods, and the balance test Nico runs on every mug before it leaves the studio.
You'll make
- A straight mug, a belly mug and a tumbler from the same weight of clay
- Pulled handles attached at the right moment
- A mug you'd hand to a friend without apologising
What you need
- Wheel Foundations, or a few months of throwing
- A banding wheel helps, but isn't required
