How it works

No surprises. Here is every step, from your first call to the long run, and roughly how long each one takes.

Raleigh & Cary: (919) 555-0142

Your journey

Seven steps, at your pace.

Most people reach their plan review within two weeks of their first call. After that, the rhythm is yours to set with your team.

  1. Today

    Send a consult request

Five short steps online, or call us. No scale, no payment, no commitment.

  2. Within 1 business day

    A coordinator calls you

Renee or a teammate checks your insurance, answers questions and books your first visit.

  3. Visit 1, about 60 minutes

    Your consultation

A physician or nurse practitioner reviews your history, medicines and goals. Body composition scan if you want one.

  4. Same week

    Lab work

On site in Raleigh or at a lab near you. Usually fasting, about ten minutes.

  5. 1 to 2 weeks later

    Plan review

We go through your results and write your plan together. Medication is discussed if it may fit.

  6. Every 4 weeks

    Check-ins and coaching

Short visits in person or by video, plus dietitian sessions. The plan changes as you do.

  7. When you reach a steady point

    Maintenance

Lighter care every 4 to 8 weeks, with a plan for any medication changes.

Your first visit includes

  • About 60 minutes with a physician, nurse practitioner or physician assistant
  • Your health history, past attempts, sleep, stress and current medicines
  • A private, optional body composition scan
  • Lab orders, with an on-site draw in Raleigh if you are fasting
  • Time for every question, and a written summary to take home

What to bring

  • Your insurance card and a photo ID
  • A list of your medicines and supplements (or the bottles)
  • Lab results from the last three months, if you have them
  • Questions you want answered. Write them down; everyone forgets in the room

You do not need to diet, fast (unless we ask for labs) or weigh yourself before you come.

Video visits

After your first in-person visit, most check-ins can happen by video from anywhere in North Carolina. They are the same length and the same price as in-person check-ins.

You still come in for body composition scans and lab draws, usually every one to two months. Saturday mornings are video only.

Between visits

You are never on your own for a month.

For anything urgent, like severe belly pain that will not go away, trouble breathing, or signs of a serious allergic reaction, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Then let us know.

Step one takes about five minutes.

Tell us your goals and a little health history. A clinician reviews it, and a coordinator calls you within one business day to book.
