Fridge running again by lunch

Our fridge was warm on a Monday morning. I booked online at 8, Marcus texted at 10:40 and had a new defrost heater in by noon. He showed me the old part and the frost on the coil. The $89 came off the bill like they said.

They told me not to fix it

Front-loader was roaring on spin. Dana said it was the bearings, the repair would be about $650, and on a 10-year-old machine she'd buy a new one. Paid the $89 and that was it. Nobody has ever talked me out of spending money before.

Standing water in the dishwasher. Priya cleaned out the filter and the drain hose, ran a cycle with me, and charged the low end of the range. She also showed me how to do it myself next time.

Good repair, needed two visits

Dryer had no heat. The element was on the van but the thermostat wasn't, so it took a second trip two days later. No extra charge for the second visit, and it's worked fine since.

Honest about the ice maker

Our door ice maker kept freezing up. They fixed the fill tube heater and told me that on this model it may happen again, and that turning it off and using a tray is a fair choice. Appreciated the honesty.

Fixed, but the part took a week

The diagnosis was fast and the price was what they quoted. But the control board for my fridge was backordered and it took a full week. I wish they'd called a couple of times with updates instead of me calling them.
