Warranty

A warranty you can read in five minutes

Every repair comes with a written warranty. Most of them move to the next owner of the house. Here is what each one covers, what it does not, and how a claim works.

Coverage

What each warranty covers

Terms start on the day the work is finished. The warranty certificate lists the address, the work and the dates, and we keep a copy on file so a future owner can ask us for it.

  • Piers, wall anchors and braces

    25 years Transfers: Yes

Further movement of the wall or footing section we stabilized.

  • Interior drain tile system

    25 years Transfers: Yes

Water coming through the walls or floor where the system is installed. If it does, we come back and fix it at no charge.

  • Outside dig and membrane

    15 years Transfers: Yes

Leaks through the wall section we dug out and sealed.

  • Crack injection

10 years per crack Transfers: Yes

Leaks through the crack we injected.

  • Crawl space vapour barrier

    20 years Transfers: Yes

Tears, seam failures and the barrier pulling away from the walls under normal use.

  • Sump pumps and dehumidifiers

Maker's warranty + 2 years labour Transfers: With the home

Equipment faults under the maker's terms. We handle the claim and the swap.

  • Concrete lifting

    5 years Transfers: Yes

A lifted slab settling more than 6 mm again.

  • Drainage and grading

    5 years Transfers: Yes

Workmanship: pipe joints, outlets and new grade settling.

What is not covered

We would rather you read this now than find it later.

  • Overland flooding, when surface water rises above the top of the foundation
  • Plumbing leaks, burst pipes and sewer backups through floor drains
  • A sump pump that was unplugged, or a power cut with no backup in place
  • Changes made to our work by others, like cutting into a drain line or building an addition over piers
  • Drywall or brick cracks that were there before the repair
