Booking, pricing, what we will and will not do, and what happens on the day. Short answers, no fine print.
Booking
How do I book a visit?
Build your list on our booking page (it takes about three minutes), or call or text (402) 555-0136. Ana confirms the time block and price range within one business day.
Can I book just one small job?
Yes. Our minimum visit is two hours, so one small job costs the same as two or three. Most people add a few more things to the list to make the trip count.
How far out are you booked?
Usually three to eight business days. If an earlier spot opens up, we text the people waiting in order.
Do I need to be home?
Someone over 18 should be home at the start to walk the list with us and at the end to check the work. In between, many clients go to work and leave us a key or a door code.
Pricing
Do you charge by the hour or by the job?
Both. Common jobs (TV mounting, assembly, drywall patches) have published price ranges. Lists of small tasks are billed by the hour from $89, with a two-hour minimum, or as a half or full day.
Is there a trip fee?
Not in Zone 1 (Omaha, Ralston, La Vista). Zone 2 is $25 and Zone 3 is $45 with a half-day minimum. Our service area page has the full list.
Who buys the materials?
Either. You can have parts ready, or we pick them up at cost plus a flat $25 shop run, and you see the receipt. Small supplies like screws, anchors and caulk are included up to $15 a job.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. Send your list and photos and we size it for free. For bigger carpentry jobs we can visit in Zone 1 at no charge.
How do I pay?
By card, bank transfer or check when the visit is done. No deposit for visits under a full day.
What we do
What will you not do?
New or moved wiring, gas lines, water heaters, moving pipes, structural walls, roofs and anything that needs a permit. Those need a licensed trade, and we will point you to one we trust.
Are you insured?
Yes. We carry general liability insurance and email the certificate on request. Every Listwell handyman passes a background check before their first visit.
Do you paint whole rooms?
No. We paint patches and touch up trim. For a full room we will recommend a painting company.
Do you haul away junk?
We take packaging and offcuts from our own work. Old furniture and junk go to a junk removal company.
On the day
When will you arrive?
You pick a two-hour arrival window. We text when we leave the job before yours, with a photo of who is coming.
What if you find something else that needs fixing?
We tell you, show you, and ask. Nothing is added to the list or the bill unless you say yes.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes, for one year. If something we fixed or installed fails because of our work, we come back and make it right at no charge.
