Methodology
How this site is made.
Nearly three thousand pages, one set of rules. This is where the facts come from, what we will and will not claim, and how to tell us when we got something wrong.
Where the facts come from
Prices and terms on every page come from one source, our pricing data, and defer to /pricing/terms. If two pages disagree, the terms page is right.
Industry facts on niche pages (how the business gets customers, ticket sizes, seasonality, the regulator that applies) are written from research recorded in the page's own source file and reviewed by the person who runs that kind of account.
Third-party numbers (advertising benchmarks, platform policies, lead-marketplace terms) are named with their publisher and the date we read them, and are described as what they are: category averages or published terms, not results we promise.
We do not publish statistics we cannot source. When a page describes an outcome in words instead of a number, that is deliberate.
Demos, samples and client work
Sample sites and demos on this site are concepts we designed to show what a build for that kind of business looks like. They are labelled as demos and are not client results unless a page says so and names the client with permission.
Client outcomes appear only with the client's permission, with the date and the definition of the number.
Gates every new page passes
Ownership: one primary page per buying question. Before a page is minted we check the queries our existing pages already receive, so two pages of ours do not compete for the same search.
Similarity: the built page is compared with its nearest sibling; anything over 30% shared five-word phrases is rewritten, anything over 45% does not ship.
Repetition: no authored sentence of eight or more words appears on more than three pages. Fixed offer terms (prices, the guarantee, ownership) are the exception and are worded once, here and on /pricing/terms.
Facts: every industry page carries at least three facts specific to that industry, each traceable to its source file.
Plain language: short sentences, second person, no hype words, no dashes used as punctuation.
How pages are produced
Pages are drafted from written specifications by our team with AI writing assistance, then checked by the automated gates above and read by a person before they go live. The specification, the gate results and the publish date are kept for every batch.
Pages are updated in place rather than re-published under a new date. The date on a page is the date its substance last changed.
Disclosures
SearchPod sells marketing services. Buyer's guides, comparisons, vendor dossiers and RFP packs on this site are written by a vendor with an interest in being chosen. We say when the other option is the better choice, and we do not accept payment for placement or comparison outcomes.
We hold Google Partner status. We do not hold or imply other partner or certification badges unless they are shown with the issuer's mark.
