Our story
It started with a north-facing window.
Studio Mer opened in 2017 with three chairs and one big north-facing window on West 4th Avenue. The idea was simple: a salon where you choose your stylist, see their price before you book, and get the same care whatever you pay.
The window became the heart of the place. Colour gets checked in daylight before anyone calls it done, because your hair spends its life outside, not under our lights.
Today there are six of us. Two master, two senior and two New Talent stylists share one floor, the same products and the same rule: tell guests the truth about their hair, even when it isn't what they hoped to hear.

Every appointment starts with a real conversation in the chair. Corrections and extensions start with a free consultation, never a guess.

New Talent stylists work the same floor and the same hours as everyone else, with a mentor's chair in sight. Noor signs every colour formula before it's mixed, and Élodie checks big cuts before the final dry. Guests get careful, double-checked work at our friendliest prices, and the next generation of Studio Mer stylists learns the house standard from day one.

2210 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver. Open Tue to Fri 9 to 7, Sat 9 to 5. The 4 and 44 buses stop at 4th and Vine, half a block away. There are two hours of free street parking on Yew after 9:30 a.m., and bike racks right outside the door.
