Haircuts
Haircuts, cut dry first.
Wet hair hangs longer and hides your cowlicks. So every Studio Mer cut starts dry, with your hair doing what it really does on a Tuesday morning. Then we wash, refine, and show you how to get the same shape at home with the brush you already own.

In the chair
How the appointment goes.
-
Talk first
Fifteen minutes, dry hair, your photos. We ask how you style it, how often you want to come in, and what you never want again.
-
Shape it dry
The outline goes in while your hair is dry and in its natural fall, so cowlicks and growth patterns are part of the plan.
-
Wash and refine
The full wash ritual, then the detail work: weight, movement and the pieces around your face.
-
Learn the finish
A two-minute lesson with your own tools, so day three looks as good as day one.

Sample review
"I came in with a photo of a bob and a lot of nerves. Élodie spent twenty minutes asking how I actually do my hair, then cut it dry. It's week five and it still falls into place on its own."

Questions
Haircuts, answered
How often should I get a haircut?
Short shapes and fringes look best with a cut every 6 to 8 weeks. Longer hair in good condition can go 10 to 16 weeks with a light dusting. Your stylist will suggest a rhythm that fits your hair and your budget.
Do you cut curly hair?
Yes. Priya cuts curls dry, one curl at a time, in their natural pattern, from loose waves to tight coils. Book a signature cut with her and mention your curl routine in the notes.
When should I book a restyle instead of a regular cut?
Book a restyle if you're going more than a few inches shorter or changing the shape completely. It gives us 15 extra minutes for the conversation a big change deserves.
Cancelling or running late? Free to move up to 24 hours ahead; half the price inside 24 hours. Up to 15 minutes late, we'll still fit you in if we can. All policies in plain words
