Salon lighting flatters everything — that's its job. Ours is different: every formula at Studio Mer is checked against a north-facing window before it's called done, because your colour spends its life on the seawall, in your kitchen, under office fluorescents. Wet hair lies. It hangs longer, behaves better, and tells your stylist nothing about the cowlick that runs your mornings. Every Studio Mer cut starts dry, with your hair doing whatever it actually does — and ends with a two-minute lesson in getting the salon finish from the tools you already own.
Every first visit starts with fifteen unhurried minutes in the chair before water or colour touches your hair — photos welcome, honesty guaranteed. If we think a look won't survive your mornings, we'll say so.
