Aurelia is a consultation-led aesthetic medicine practice in Pacific Heights, San Francisco. Three providers. MD-placed injectables, conservative dosing, protocol-driven care. A 0.4% revision rate against an industry average of 4–8%. Every patient starts with a thirty-minute consultation; about a third don’t book a treatment that day, and we’re fine with that.

Restylane Eyelight (HA filler, low G prime)
MD-placed via cannula. Conservative volume in single session. Reassess at two weeks.
- Skinvive (intradermal microboost)Optional · 4-week interval if textural complaint primary
- Topical retinoid protocolRequired · 8 weeks pre-treatment for skin envelope quality
Significant infraorbital hollowing with festoon or malar mound — refer to oculoplastics.
“Tear-trough is the most-asked-about concern in our practice. We do not place high-G prime fillers in this region. The Eyelight + cannula protocol has the lowest revision rate in our two-year audit.”
Three
providers.
Every injectable in this practice is placed by an MD or DNP-NP. We do not use RNs for filler or neuromodulators. The team has been together since 2020.

Dr. Aurelia Chen
Twelve years in aesthetic medicine after a Mohs surgery fellowship. Founded Aurelia in 2018 with a thesis: 'less product, more thought.' Author of two peer-reviewed papers on cannula-based filler placement.

Sara Mendel, NP
Joined Aurelia in 2020 from Skin Spirit. Owns the energy-based program — Moxi, Halo, Sciton. The clinic's preferred provider for Fitzpatrick III–V skin types.

Dr. Lin Park, MD
Internal medicine background applied to aesthetic and metabolic care. Runs the GLP-1 + body contouring program. Sees men and women in roughly equal numbers.
Four
principles.
The architecture under every consultation. Stated up front because we’d rather you choose us with these in mind than discover them later.

Consultation-led, not menu-driven
We don't sell from a price list. Every patient starts with a free 30-min consultation; about a third of those don't book a treatment that day, and we're fine with that. The right protocol takes the time it takes.

We don't oversell volume
Conservative dosing in single sessions, reassess at two weeks. Filler revision rates in the industry sit at 4–8%; ours is 0.4%. The math is the same: less product, more thought.

MD-supervised, MD-placed
Every injectable in this practice is placed by an MD or DNP-NP. We do not use RNs for filler or neuromodulators. The fee structure reflects the staffing.

Honest about what we don't do
Surgical lifts. Permanent implants. Stem-cell anything. We refer to plastic surgery, oculoplastics, or oral-maxillofacial when the right answer isn't on our menu.
