Injectables are the most personal work we do, which is why every injectable appointment at Lumen starts from a written plan: which product, how many units or syringes, what it should change, and what it deliberately won't. You approve the plan and the price before anyone opens a needle.
We dose conservatively on purpose. Under-treating costs you a free two-week review and a small top-up; over-treating costs you three months of a face that doesn't move the way you want. Every injectable patient is booked a complimentary two-week review so we can check the result against the plan together.
All products we inject are Health Canada–authorized hyaluronic-acid fillers and neuromodulators. We stock hyaluronidase (the filler dissolver) on site, and every injector at Lumen is trained and drilled on vascular-occlusion protocol — the rare emergency you should ask any clinic about before you book.

Step by step, nothing sprung on you

Medical consultation
A provider reviews your history, medications, and goals, examines your facial anatomy, and screens for contraindications. You leave with a written plan and quote — nothing is injected at a first consultation.

Approve the plan
Units, syringes, product names, and totals in plain numbers. Take it home; there's no expiry pressure and no same-day-only pricing.

Treatment visit
Photos for your chart, mapped injection points, then the treatment itself — most visits are done in under an hour with numbing where it helps.

Two-week review
Complimentary and booked before you leave. Neuromodulators peak around day 14; filler swelling settles. We assess against the plan and adjust conservatively if needed.
Realistic expectations
- Neuromodulators start working in 3–5 days and peak around two weeks — you will not walk out changed.
- Relaxers soften lines made by movement; deep etched-in lines fade partially, not completely.
- Filler restores structure and support. It cannot lift jowls, replace a facelift, or change your bone structure.
- Results are temporary by design: 3–4 months for neuromodulators, 9–18 for most fillers.
Downtime: Minimal — plan around events anyway
- Small injection-site bumps and redness settle within hours.
- Bruising is possible with any injection, more so with filler — allow 3–7 days before photos or events.
- Filler swelling (especially lips) is normal for 2–3 days.
- No exercise, alcohol, or facedown massage for 24 hours after treatment.
