Lumen Aesthetic Clinic

Providers

You'll always know whose hands you're in

Three providers, no rotating cast, and a written answer to the question every patient should ask: who treats me, within what scope, and who manages a complication. Credentials below are the actual ones — ask about them at your visit; our team considers that a compliment.

Medical Director + Founder

Dr. Amara Sethi, MD, CCFP

Dr. Sethi practised full-scope family medicine for nine years before dedicating her practice to aesthetic medicine, and she runs Lumen the way she ran her clinic: history first, informed consent that actually informs, and a documented plan before any treatment.

She personally performs all first medical consultations, all advanced and corrective filler work, and is the physician on call for any complication — for Lumen patients and, not rarely, for patients treated elsewhere who need help.

Her standing rule for the clinic: if a treatment isn't in the patient's interest, the answer is no, kindly and with reasons. Roughly one in five consultations here ends with no treatment booked, and she considers that number a feature.

Senior Nurse Injector

Priya Raman, RN, BScN

Priya has been injecting for seven years — the last five at Lumen — and is the injector most of our long-term patients see visit to visit. Her signature is restraint: doses at the conservative end, reviewed at two weeks, adjusted only when the mirror and the chart agree.

She works under Dr. Sethi's medical directives with direct physician access in the building, and she teaches the clinic's internal injection-technique refreshers each quarter.

Patients describe her consultations as the first time anyone drew their face and explained what was actually achievable — which is exactly the reputation she wants.

Nurse Practitioner — Laser Lead + Injector

Jonas Feld, NP(F)

Jonas leads the laser program: device protocols, test-patch standards, and the settings library that lets Lumen treat a wide range of skin types safely. If a laser plan is unusual — deeper skin types, photosensitizing medications, melasma-adjacent pigment — it crosses his desk before anyone is booked.

As a nurse practitioner he consults, prescribes within his scope, and injects, with a patient list that skews toward first-timers and men who want change nobody can name.

He is also the reason the clinic reschedules tanned patients without exception. Ask him about laser burns he's seen from elsewhere and clear an afternoon.

Focus

  • Laser + light treatments
  • Neuromodulators
  • Skin-of-colour laser settings
  • Men's aesthetics

Training + registration

  • MN-NP, University of British Columbia; registered with BCCNM
  • Certified on every laser and light platform in the clinic
  • Advanced training in laser settings for Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin
  • ACLS current; co-author of the clinic's test-patch standard
