FAQ

Questions we hear every week

Short, plain answers. If yours isn't here, call either clinic and a person will help.

Becoming a patient

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, at both clinics. Most of our clinicians are accepting new patients of all ages, and Dr. Raman is accepting family members of her current patients. The Providers page shows each clinician's status.

Do you take my insurance?

We bill Medicare, Wisconsin Medicaid, and most large commercial plans. See the Insurance page for the list of plans we bill. Networks change every year, so call us or your plan to confirm before your visit.

How do I move my records to Larkfield?

Sign our records release form (we send it with your appointment confirmation), and we request your records from your old office. You're welcome to bring copies of recent labs, your vaccine record and your medicine list too.

Will I see the same clinician every time?

You'll have one primary clinician who knows your story. When they're away or booked up, a teammate sees you and sends them a note, so nothing gets lost.

Do you take walk-ins?

No, but we hold same-day sick-visit slots every weekday morning, and Saturday mornings at East. Call when we open or book online.

Visits and everyday care

What do I do after hours?

Call the main line and press 1 to reach the on-call clinician. For an emergency, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988 any time.

How do prescription refills work?

Ask your pharmacy to send us a refill request, or send one through the portal. Please allow two business days, and a little longer if you're due for a visit.

Do you see children?

Yes, from newborns to teens. Parents and kids can be seen in back-to-back family blocks.

Are you part of a hospital system?

No. Larkfield is an independent practice owned by the clinicians who work here. We refer to specialists across Madison based on what's best for you.

What if I don't have insurance?

Our self-pay prices are listed on the Insurance page. If you're paying yourself, you can ask for a Good Faith Estimate of costs before your visit.

How do I ask my clinician a question?

Send a message through the patient portal. We aim to reply within two business days. For anything urgent, call us instead.

Can I bring someone to my visit?

Yes. A family member, friend or caregiver is welcome in the room, and we'll always ask you privately if there's anything you'd like to discuss alone.

Do you offer interpreters?

Yes, free of charge by phone or video in many languages. Dr. Reyes speaks Spanish, Dr. Raman speaks Tamil and Grace Kim speaks Korean.

Is parking free?

Yes. Both clinics have free lots with accessible spaces near the entrance.

Ready to meet your new family doctor?

Both clinics are accepting new patients of all ages. Book a first visit online in about two minutes, or call and a real person will help.
