Women's health is part of family medicine here, not a separate referral. You can book well-woman visits, birth control, menopause care and early pregnancy visits with your own clinician, and Dr. Priya Raman sees anyone for IUD and implant placement at West.

Book this visit for

  • Pap and HPV screening
  • Birth control, including IUD and implant placement at West
  • Breast exams and mammogram referrals
  • Heavy, painful or irregular periods
  • Menopause symptoms
  • Early pregnancy visits and a warm handoff to obstetrics
  • Private, judgment-free STI testing

What happens at the visit

  1. Tell us what to cover

Choose the reason when you book. You can add a private note that only your clinician reads.

  2. A conversation first

You'll talk with your clinician fully dressed before any exam, so nothing is a surprise.

  3. Exam only with your OK

A chaperone is available for any exam. Just ask, or tick the box when you book.

  4. Results in plain words

Results arrive in the portal with a short note from your clinician about what they mean.

What to bring

  • Photo ID and insurance card
  • The date your last period started
  • Your last Pap or mammogram date, if you know it
  • Questions you'd like answered

Questions people ask

Can I ask for a female clinician?

Of course. Pick one when you book, or ask when you call. Several of our clinicians are women.

Do you deliver babies?

No. We care for you in early pregnancy and refer you to an obstetric practice for prenatal care and delivery. After the baby arrives, we see you both.

Are teen visits private?

Teens get time alone with their clinician at every visit. What stays private depends on Wisconsin law, and we explain the rules to teens and parents in plain words.
