Pool remodeling

New finish, tile, coping, deck and equipment for a pool that has seen a few summers.

How we build it

A tired pool is usually a good pool with a worn surface. Rough plaster, cracked coping, loose tile and an old single-speed pump are all fixable. We start with an honest inspection and tell you what needs work now, what can wait, and what is fine as it is.

Remodels are also the time to fix safety. We bring drains, gates and door alarms up to today's rules while the pool is empty.

A good fit when

  • Plaster that feels rough or shows stains and etching
  • Cracked coping, loose tile or a deck that has settled
  • Old pumps and filters that run up the power bill
  • New owners of a house with a pool they did not design

  • Drain and refinish, with new anti-entrapment drain covers
  • Tile and coping replacement to match or update
  • Equipment upgrades: variable-speed pump, filter, salt and automation
  • Deck resurfacing or new pavers
  • Barrier check: gates, latches and door alarms

What it costs

Questions about remodeling

Can you change the shape of my pool?

Sometimes. Adding a tanning ledge, steps or a raised spa is common. Making a pool much bigger is usually close to the cost of a new build, and we will say so.

Do you remodel pools you did not build?

Yes. Most of our remodels are pools built by other companies, some of them 30 years old.
