What you're paying for
A coating thinner than a hair, a gas you can't see, and the strip that holds the panes apart. Here is what each part does, in plain words.
What it won't do: pay for itself in one winter. Good glass makes rooms comfortable and trims your heating bill. How much depends on what you have now.
Energy and glass, explained
One opening at a time: each room is open to the weather for 30 to 45 minutes.
How a job runs
The installer who measures your home has done the work for years. The crew that installs it works for us, not for a subcontractor paid by the window.
Comfort first
New sashes seal tight and the gaps around the frame get foam and sealant, so the cold strip along the sill is gone.
Low-E glass stays close to room temperature. Sitting next to a window in January stops feeling like sitting next to a fridge.
Two or three panes and tight seals cut street noise. Laminated glass cuts it more for busy roads.
Usually some savings, more if you have single pane now. Rarely enough to pay for the windows alone. We won't promise a percentage.
Rebates and tax credits for efficient windows come and go. We print the product ratings on your invoice so you can claim anything that applies, and we never count a rebate in your price.
Published prices
Installed prices per window, with our standard double-pane Low-E glass and an insert install. Your written quote lists every window on its own line.

Reviews
“Theo measured every window himself and didn't try to upsell us once. The quote matched the invoice to the dollar. Our upstairs bedroom is finally comfortable in the morning.”

“Two other companies wanted me to sign that night for a "special." Lakelight gave me a written price good for 60 days and left. Easy decision.”

“We have a 1920s colonial and were worried about losing the look. The wood-clad windows with real-looking grids are perfect. Our heating bill dropped some, and the house is quieter on the main road side.”
