Overview

Why homeowners replace windows.

Most windows we replace are 25 to 40 years old: foggy glass, sashes that won't stay up, a cold strip of air along the sill. A replacement window fixes the part you feel every day.

Every window is made to the size of your opening, so nothing is forced or shimmed with guesswork. We carry three lines, named for what the frame is made of. You pick the style for each room and the look for the house.

Straight answers

Is it the right call for your home?

A good fit when

  • Fogged glass, rotted sills or sashes that won't stay open
  • Drafty rooms you avoid in January
  • Selling in a few years and wanting the windows off the inspection list
  • Rooms on a busy street where noise gets in

Think twice when

  • Windows under about 15 years old that open, lock and seal fine. A tune-up and new weatherstrip may be enough for now
  • Original wood windows in a historic home you love. Restoration and good storm windows can be the better answer, and we'll say so

Every quote includes

  • Every opening measured three ways, by an installer
  • Old windows out, hauled away and recycled
  • Gaps filled with low-expansion foam, sealed inside and out
  • Lead-safe work setup in homes built before 1978
  • Clean-up, walkthrough and a 10-year labor warranty in writing

Questions

What people ask about windows.

All questions
Do I have to replace every window at once?

No. Many homeowners start with the worst side of the house or the bedrooms and do the rest the next year. We keep your measurements on file so the second phase matches the first.

How long from order to install?

Four to eight weeks for vinyl and fiberglass, six to ten for wood-clad and custom shapes. We give you the order date and an install window when you sign.

Can I keep the look of divided panes?

Yes. Grids can sit between the glass panes (easy to clean) or on the outside of the glass for a more traditional look on older homes.
