Overview
Why homeowners replace patio doors.
An old patio door is often the biggest cold spot in the house: a wall of glass, a worn track and a gap at the floor you could slide a pencil under.
A new door glides on steel rollers, locks at more than one point and seals at the sill. Choose a slider to save floor space, or hinged French doors for the classic look.

Straight answers
Is it the right call for your home?
A good fit when
- A door that takes two hands to slide
- Fog between the glass panes
- A cold draft along the floor in winter
- A lock you don't trust
Think twice when
- A newer slider that is just hard to move. New rollers and a cleaned track can fix it for a few hundred dollars
Every quote includes
- New door unit with screen (sliders)
- Sill pan flashing so water can't reach the subfloor
- Foam insulation and sealant around the frame
- Interior and exterior trim; old door hauled away
- 10-year labor warranty in writing
Can you make my opening wider?
Sometimes. Widening means a new header in the wall, and often a permit. We can quote it, and we'll tell you honestly when the cost isn't worth it.
Will a new door be easier to slide?
Yes. New sliders run on steel or stainless rollers in a clean track. If it doesn't glide with one hand after install, we come back.
