About
Started by a vet tech who hated kennels
Good Company opened in 2016 with one yard, eight rooms and a rule that has not changed: owners hear everything from us first.
Our story
Maren Lindqvist spent twelve years as a vet tech in Bozeman. She saw the same thing again and again: dogs coming in after a week at a kennel, stressed and quiet, and owners who had no idea why.
So she built the place she wanted for her own two, a corgi named Biscuit and a cat named Moss. Rooms instead of runs. Rest built into the day. A cat wing you cannot hear the dogs from. And an owner who calls you before you have to ask.
Today the lodge has 48 daycare spots, 26 dog rooms and 10 cat condos. It is still owner-run, and Maren still does Monday drop-off.
How we work
Four things we will not trade away
-
01
Say the ratio out loud
Ratios are posted in every yard and printed on this site. When a yard is full, we stop booking it.
-
02
Rest is part of the day
Dogs who play all day come home wired. Three rest blocks are built into every daycare day.
-
03
Tell owners first
Owners hear about every injury, skipped meal or odd behavior from us, the same day.
-
04
Fewer days can be the right answer
If your dog is happier with two days than five, we will tell you, even though it costs us.
