Enrichment and training
Sniff walks, puzzle meals and short manners sessions with our trainer, for dogs who need more than play.
How it works here
Not every dog wants to wrestle. Seniors, shy dogs, dogs who cannot do group play and dogs on long stays all do better with something to think about.
Enrichment here means sniffing, searching and solving: a long-line walk in the back field, a frozen lick mat, a meal hidden in a snuffle mat.
Our trainer, Eli, also runs short manners sessions during daycare and boarding. They help, and they work best when you keep practicing at home, so every session ends with a two-line note on what to try.

Training sessions are not a fix for serious fear or aggression. If we see that, we will refer you to a veterinary behaviorist or a certified behavior consultant.
Private play, without the guilt
Some dogs are not group dogs. That is common, especially for adult rescues and dogs who were never in a group as puppies. Private play is sniff walks, puzzle meals and quiet time, booked per session, so those dogs still get a good day here.
Puzzle toys are washed after every use and never shared during a session.
Questions about enrichment and training
Can a dog who failed group play still come to daycare?
There is no failing. Dogs who are happier without a group can come for private play: sniff walks, puzzle meals and one-on-one time, billed per session.
Do you do board and train?
Not as a program. Day school and manners sessions during a stay are as far as we go, because we would rather you be part of the training.
