SearchPod vs LocaliQ.
A posted price list, or a media company's marketing arm?

LocaliQ is the digital marketing business of USA TODAY Co, Inc., selling search, display, video and social ads, email, listings, websites, SEO and an AI lead management product to local businesses across the United States. SearchPod is a small agency that builds a website you own, runs Google Ads in your own account for a posted fee, and writes ranking pages at a posted price. This page compares what each publishes, as read on their own websites on September 26, 2026.

At a glance

The short version.

SearchPod

SearchPod publishes its whole price list: Google Ads management at 10% of the monthly ad budget with a $600 CAD minimum and no markup on spend, SEO at $50 CAD per page from ten pages a month, and websites as one-time packages from $1,500 to $20,000+. There is no setup fee, no contract term, and a 30-day guarantee on the first month. Every account, the ad account, the analytics, the Google Business Profile and the website, sits in the client's name.

LocaliQ

LocaliQ's own site describes a broad product line: search ads, display and video ads, social ads, targeted email, business listings, websites and landing pages, SEO, social media marketing, live chat, text messaging, email automation, reporting, and an AI lead management product it brands as Dash. It states partner standing with Google, Microsoft Advertising, Meta, TikTok and Yelp. The pages we reviewed publish no prices, no minimum spend, no contract length and no statement about who owns the ad accounts; those details come through a sales conversation.

Why it matters

The bottom line.

You can price the work before you talk to anyone

LocaliQ's website presents its products and partner badges but no prices, so the cost is learned on a call. SearchPod's fee for Google Ads, the price per SEO page and the website packages are all on the pricing page, so you can compare the two before booking anything.

Month to month, in writing

The LocaliQ pages we reviewed do not state a contract length one way or the other. SearchPod states its terms on the pricing page: no setup fee, no term, cancel any month. If you want the same clarity from LocaliQ, ask for the term and the cancellation rule before you sign.

Accounts in your name

SearchPod builds the Google Ads account, the analytics property, the Google Business Profile and the website under your ownership and works inside them as a user, so the history stays with you. LocaliQ's site does not say how its accounts are set up, which is a question worth asking any large vendor.

One team that answers the phone

A small agency means the person who built your campaign is the person on the call. LocaliQ's scale brings breadth of products and partner programs; SearchPod's size brings a shorter path to the person doing the work. Which matters more depends on how many channels you want to run at once.
