What vinyasa is like here
Vinyasa links one pose to the next with your breath. Some classes move slowly and explain every step. Others move quicker and build real strength. All of them end lying down, in a quiet few minutes we call savasana.
A good fit if
- You like to move and want to leave feeling worked, not wrecked
- You want strength and flexibility in the same hour
- You are new: start with Slow Flow, which has the same shape at half the speed
Think twice, or talk to us first, if
- A recent wrist, shoulder or low-back injury: tell your teacher first, or start with Slow Flow
- You want deep stillness: Yin or Restorative may suit you better
What happens in class
-
1
Arrive and settle
A few minutes of breathing, lying or seated, so the day can fall away.
-
2
Warm up
Gentle movement for the spine, hips and shoulders before anything asks much of them.
-
3
Sun salutations
The building block of flow. Your teacher offers a slower version every single time.
-
4
Standing and balance
Lunges, warriors and balances, with blocks close by. This is where you get strong.
-
5
Cool down and rest
Stretches on the floor, then savasana. Nobody leaves early by accident here.
Plain notes: props, heat, injuries
-
Props
Two blocks and a strap sit at every mat before class starts. Using them is normal, not a sign you are behind.
-
Heat
No heat. The Skylight Room stays around 20 to 22°C, so a light layer for savasana is a good idea.
-
Injuries and health
Sore wrists? We teach fist and forearm options in every class. Tell your teacher before class about anything recent.
General information, not medical advice. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or care provider before class.

Questions about vinyasa
What is the difference between Slow Flow and Vinyasa 2?
Slow Flow explains every pose and moves at about half the speed. Vinyasa 2 assumes you know the basic shapes, moves quicker and offers arm balances and inversions as options.
Is vinyasa a good workout?
It can be. Morning Flow and Vinyasa 2 build real strength. But any class can be taken more gently, and resting is always allowed.
