Condition we treat

Sports and active injuries

You want to keep training, not sit and wait. We treat the joints and muscles, find what's overloading them, and build a return plan around your sport and your schedule.

Sound familiar?

What people tell us at the first visit

  • Low back pain after lifting or a long run
  • A tight hip, hamstring, or shoulder that limits your swing or stroke
  • Pain that shows up at the same point in every workout
  • A strain that keeps coming back
  • Stiffness that slows your recovery between sessions

What care involves

Four steps, explained as we go

  1. Step 01

    See how you move

We test strength and range, then watch the movement that hurts, like a squat, a golf swing, or your running stride.

  2. Step 02

    Treat the area

Adjustments, soft-tissue work, instrument-assisted massage, and taping when it helps.

  3. Step 03

    Train around it

You'll know what you can keep doing this week, and what to pause for now.

  4. Step 04

    Return step by step

A simple return plan with clear checkpoints before you go back to full training.

What to expect

How long it usually takes

2 to 6 visits

Weekly, fitted around your training

Fresh strains often settle in a few weeks. Problems that keep coming back take longer, because we're also changing how you load them.

When we refer you out

Signs you need a doctor first

We screen for these at every first visit. If one shows up, we stop and help you get the right care, and you only pay for that first visit.

  • A pop with sudden swelling, or a joint that gives way
  • You can't put weight on the leg
  • Any blow to the head, or concussion signs
  • Pain that wakes you at night and doesn't ease when you move
  • A possible fracture or ligament tear: we refer you to a sports medicine doctor

Cost

Prices, up front

Health plans often cover sports injury visits like any other chiropractic visit. Taping supplies are included in the visit price.

  • New patient visit $79 45 minutes: history, exam, plan, and first treatment if it's right for you.
  • Follow-up visit $60 About 20 minutes: re-check, adjustment, and soft-tissue work.
  • Extended visit $85 About 35 minutes. Adds hands-on rehab coaching.

Questions

About sports injuries care

More questions
Do I have to stop training?

Usually not completely. We adjust your load so you can keep most of your routine while the sore area settles.

Do you work with coaches and physical therapists?

Yes. With your OK, we share your plan with your coach, trainer, or physical therapist so everyone works toward the same goal.

Can you treat shoulder, hip, and knee problems?

We treat many joint and muscle problems in the shoulder, hip, and knee. If we suspect a tear or something that needs imaging, we refer you to a sports medicine doctor first.

Ready to talk about your pain?

Your first visit is 45 minutes and $79 for self-pay new patients. You'll leave with a plan you understand, or a referral if we're not the right fit.
