Patient stories

Four families, four different starts

Every path here is different, and so is every feeling along the way. These stories show the kinds of journeys we support.

Please note These stories and reviews are fictional, written for this sample website. Names, details, and photos do not show real patients.

IVF after two years of trying

Dana and Marcus

“Grace texted us the night before every single visit. We never once felt like we were figuring it out alone.”

Dana and Marcus tried for two years before their family doctor suggested a specialist. Their assessment found blocked tubes, which explained a lot, and Dr. Castellano walked them through IVF on a single sheet of paper.

Their first transfer did not work. They took two months off, then used a frozen embryo from the same cycle. Their son was born the next spring.

Egg freezing at 34

Priya

“Dr. Haddad gave me a real estimate for my body, not a brochure number. That is why I trusted her.”

Priya came in to get a baseline, not to start anything. Her results were normal for her age, and Dr. Haddad told her that waiting a year would also be reasonable.

She chose to freeze that fall anyway, for peace of mind. She did one cycle, kept working through it, and now has eggs in storage and a plan she understands.

Reciprocal IVF

Jess and Alana

“The forms said "partner," the nurse asked our pronouns, and nobody looked confused. That mattered more than we expected.”

Jess and Alana both wanted to be part of the pregnancy. With reciprocal IVF, Alana's eggs were used and Jess carried. Hannah's counseling session helped them choose a donor they felt good about.

Their daughter arrived in the summer. They still have two embryos frozen, and they are in no rush to decide.

Egg freezing before chemotherapy

Sofia

“I called on a Monday and was in Dr. Mehta's office on Wednesday. He talked to my oncologist himself.”

Sofia was 29 when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her oncologist mentioned fertility preservation, and she called Wrenfield the same afternoon.

Her freezing cycle started three days later and was finished in under two weeks. She started chemotherapy on schedule, and her eggs are in storage for whenever she is ready.
