About this care
Minimally invasive surgery at Hollin
Many gynecologic operations can now be done through a few small cuts, or with no cuts at all through the cervix. Smaller cuts often mean less pain and a quicker return home, though every person and every procedure is different.
Dr. Haddad starts every surgical consult with the options that are not surgery. If an operation makes sense for you, he plans it with you, operates at Willowmere's outpatient surgery center, and sees you himself afterwards.

Recovery
We check in
A call the day after, then visits at about two and six weeks. Our on-call line is open the whole time.
Costs
What it costs
| Self-pay | Price range |
|---|---|
| Surgical consult Self-pay | $210 to $320 |
| In-office hysteroscopy Self-pay, when suitable | $900 to $1,600 |
Operating room procedures are priced after your consult, because the right procedure depends on you. The surgery center and anesthesia bill separately.
With insurance
Most plans cover medically necessary surgery after prior authorization. Our surgical coordinator handles the paperwork and tells you your expected share before the date is set.
Your care team
Who you'll see
Do I need a referral for a surgical consult?
Not from us. Some insurance plans need one from your primary care clinician. Our team checks this when you book.
How long is recovery?
It depends on the procedure. Many people go home the same day after a laparoscopy and return to desk work within one to two weeks, but your surgeon will give you a plan for your own procedure.
Can I get a second opinion?
Yes, and we encourage it for any major surgery. We can send your records wherever you like.
