Evaluations and care for kids 6 to 17, with parents in the room and schools in the loop when you want them.

A mother and her preteen daughter sit together on a sofa while a clinician talks with them

When a child is struggling, the whole family feels it. Dr. Osei sees children and teens for ADHD, anxiety, low mood, and behaviour changes. Parents are part of every first visit, and the plan covers home and school, not only medicine.

People often reach out when

  • Teachers or a pediatrician have suggested a psychiatric evaluation
  • Worry, school refusal, or stomach aches before school that will not let up
  • Big changes in mood, sleep, friends, or grades
  • Focus or restlessness that makes school a daily battle
  • Your child already takes a medicine and needs a specialist to follow it

What happens, step by step

  1. Step 1: Parent call first

A short phone call with our care coordinator so we understand what is going on and who should come.

  2. Step 2: Family evaluation

90 minutes, in person. Part of the visit is with parent and child together, and part with each on their own.

  3. Step 3: School input, if you want it

With your written permission, we can send teacher questionnaires and talk with school staff.

  4. Step 4: A plan for home and school

Which may include therapy, school supports such as a 504 plan, parent coaching, and sometimes medication.

About medication

One possible part of a plan, never a promise

For children, medication is considered carefully and never as the first or only step. If it is an option, Dr. Osei explains the benefits, side effects, and monitoring to both parent and child, in words a child can follow. Parents make the decision, and we never promise a prescription.

When another kind of care fits better

We do not provide custody evaluations, inpatient care, or full psychological testing. We will refer you to trusted colleagues for those.
