Depression and anxiety

Care for low mood, worry, and panic that has hung on longer than you hoped, with a plan built at your pace.

A woman in a sage sweater sits on a sofa and explains how she has been feeling

Depression and anxiety are the most common reasons people come to Linnet. Many have already tried therapy, a medicine from their family doctor, or both, and want a specialist to look again. We start with a full evaluation, then build a plan that can include medication, therapy referrals, sleep, and small changes you can actually keep.

People often reach out when

  • Low mood, flatness, or tearfulness most days for two weeks or more
  • Worry that is hard to switch off, or panic attacks that seem to come from nowhere
  • Sleep, appetite, or energy has changed and stayed changed
  • Work, school, or relationships are getting harder to keep up with
  • A medicine from your family doctor helped a little, but not enough

What happens, step by step

  1. Step 1: Full evaluation

60 to 75 minutes about what you are feeling, your history, your health, and what you have tried before.

  2. Step 2: Shared plan

Your clinician explains what they think is going on in plain words and lays out the options. You decide together.

  3. Step 3: Early check-ins

If a medicine is part of the plan, follow-ups are closer together at first, usually every two to four weeks.

  4. Step 4: Therapy alongside

We do not offer weekly talk therapy, but we work with trusted local and virtual therapists and can help with referrals.

About medication

One possible part of a plan, never a promise

Medicines for depression and anxiety can help many people, often over several weeks, and not every medicine suits every person. Your clinician will explain benefits, side effects, and how long a fair trial takes. Medication is a choice, never a requirement, and never a promise.

When another kind of care fits better

If you are thinking about suicide, call or text 988 now. If you need more support than weekly visits can give, such as an intensive outpatient program, we will help you find one and stay in touch.

Questions about depression and anxiety

Do I have to take medication?

No. Some patients come for an evaluation and a second opinion, then continue with therapy alone. Your clinician will tell you honestly what they think could help, and the choice is yours.

How long until I feel better?

It differs for everyone, and we will not promise a timeline. Many medicines take several weeks to show their full effect, which is why early follow-ups matter.

Do you provide therapy too?

Our clinicians use supportive talk in every visit, but weekly therapy happens with a therapist. We keep a list of local and virtual therapists we trust.

Ready when you are.

Tell us a little about what is going on and choose an intake time, in person or by video. We check your insurance and confirm everything by phone before your first visit.
