About Daniel

Daniel Sterling started his career on the other side. For eight years he defended insurance companies against injury claims. He sat in the rooms where claim values are set and watched adjusters grade people by how tired, confused or alone they seemed. In 2003 he quit, rented a two-room office above a Herald Square deli, and started this firm on one promise: the people those companies graded would never walk into that room alone again.

Two decades later the firm has five attorneys, two offices and a phone that is answered every hour of every day. Daniel still tries cases himself. He prepares every file as if it will go to a jury, because insurers keep track of which firms give up before trial and they make offers to match.

Away from the office, Daniel coaches a Queens youth debate league and is a loyal, long-suffering Mets fan.
