The Skyhall Loft

Loft 9, 210 Foundry Row, Meridian Quay

$4,200,000

The Skyhall Loft's empty main hall — white brick, coffered concrete ceiling, and a sixteen-pane steel window filled with the skyline at sunset

The story of the house

The Foundry Row building printed newspapers until 1971, and Loft 9 was the press hall — which is why the ceiling is coffered concrete and the window is sixteen panes of steel-framed glass, twenty-two feet across.

It is offered nearly raw, and I am selling it that way on purpose. Buyers at this level do not want someone else's kitchen. They want the volume, the window, and a floor plan that has been engineered for anything — plumbing risers are already run to three zones.

I have the original 1927 elevation drawings framed at my office. They convey with the sale.

Worth noticing

  • 3,900 sq ft, 14-ft coffered concrete ceilings
  • 22-ft steel-framed window wall, western exposure
  • Plumbing and electrical risers pre-run to 3 zones
  • Keyed freight elevator opening into the loft
  • Original 1927 elevation drawings convey
