It does not transfer directly. WordPress has plugins that personalize by visitor behavior, but nothing reads HubSpot's specific contact properties out of the box. We will tell you honestly which personalized sections are worth rebuilding and which were not earning their complexity.
HubSpot CMS to WordPress
Leave HubSpot CMS Hub without losing your blog.
Plenty of businesses pay for a full CMS Hub tier just to host the marketing site while sales barely touches HubSpot's page tools. We move the site to WordPress and keep the rankings your blog already earned.
- Full page and blog post inventory before anything is touched
- A redirect written for every HubSpot URL, not just the popular ones
- CRM forms reconnected before the old account is switched off
What moving off HubSpot CMS actually involves
HubSpot holds more than pages. We account for all of it.
The page and blog inventory
We pull a full list of landing pages, website pages, and blog posts straight from HubSpot's content tools, cross-checked against Search Console so nothing that earns clicks gets missed once the CMS Hub account is gone.
The redirect plan
HubSpot generates its own URL pattern for landing pages and a separate one for blog posts. Each one gets a permanent redirect to its WordPress equivalent, written before launch, not patched in afterward once traffic drops.
The tracking and CRM wiring that has to survive
Forms on a HubSpot page write straight into HubSpot workflows and lifecycle stages. On WordPress, those same forms need a plugin wired back into HubSpot's free CRM or your marketing automation, or that follow up simply stops firing.
Launch acceptance checks
Before we call it done, we confirm every high traffic URL redirects correctly, every form still creates a contact record, and the blog's RSS feed (if anyone subscribes to it by email) still resolves on the new domain structure.
What HubSpot did that WordPress will not do the same way
Smart content disappears
HubSpot's personalization by contact property (smart content, smart CTAs) has no direct WordPress equivalent. If pages change by visitor, we tell you plainly what gets rebuilt with a plugin and what gets simplified.
HubL templates do not carry over
HubSpot's own templating language, HubL, only runs inside HubSpot. Every template gets rebuilt in WordPress from scratch, matched to the existing design rather than exported.
Blog subscription emails move or stop
HubSpot's built in blog subscription (RSS to email) sits inside its marketing tools. That subscriber list and the send need a plan before cutover, or existing subscribers simply stop getting new posts.
You keep the CRM if you want it
Leaving CMS Hub does not require leaving HubSpot's CRM. Plenty of businesses keep the free or Starter CRM and just connect it to WordPress with a form plugin, dropping only the part they were overpaying for.
How the move runs
01
Inventory and mapping
We list every page and post, decide the WordPress structure, and write the full redirect map before any build work starts.
02
Build and reconnect
Pages and posts are rebuilt in WordPress, forms are reconnected to your CRM or automation tool, and the redirect map is loaded but not switched live yet.
03
Cutover and verify
We flip DNS, activate redirects, and spend the following days checking Search Console and form submissions for anything that slipped through.
HubSpot to WordPress questions
Not if the redirect map is complete and the content moves over intact. Rankings are attached to the URL and the content behind it, not to HubSpot as a platform. The risk is an incomplete redirect list or thinned out content, not the migration itself.
Yes. CMS Hub is a separate product from HubSpot's CRM. Plenty of businesses downgrade to the free or Starter CRM tier and connect it to a WordPress form plugin, keeping their contact and deal data without paying for website hosting they do not need.
It depends on how many pages and posts exist and how custom the current templates are. A site with a few dozen pages and a standard blog moves faster than one with dozens of landing page variants and heavy personalization. We scope the real number in your proposal.
The form fields themselves are simple to recreate. The harder part is the workflow behind them, since HubSpot triggers lifecycle stage changes and internal notifications automatically. We map each form's downstream automation before rebuilding it on WordPress.
