Google Analytics 4
Get GA4 tracking what matters.
Universal Analytics stopped processing data back in 2023, and GA4 measures activity differently, by event instead of by session. We set it up so it tracks the actions your business actually cares about.
- Key events matched to real actions
- Tested with a real form or purchase
- Free scope within one business day
What we do
A property that tracks your business, not a default.
Property and data stream setup
A GA4 property created or reviewed on your website's data stream, with data retention set to the longer 14 month option so you keep more usable history.
Key events mapped to real actions
The actions your business actually sells, like a submitted lead form, a completed booking, or a finished purchase, set up as GA4 key events instead of left as generic page views.
Consent and cross domain settings
Consent mode configured if your site shows a cookie banner, and cross domain tracking set up if a booking or checkout tool lives on a different domain than your main site.
Historical data handled honestly
If a Universal Analytics property still exists, we export what can still be exported. Data Google itself already deleted cannot be recovered by anyone, and we will tell you plainly if that is the case.
Access, delivery, and the proof this setup worked.
What we need from you
Admin access to add users on your GA4 property, or the ability to create one if none exists, plus a way to add tracking code, usually through Google Tag Manager or direct CMS access.
What gets delivered
A configured GA4 property with key events mapped to your real business actions, retention set to 14 months, and consent or cross domain settings configured where relevant.
How we prove it worked
We run a real test, a form submit or a test purchase, and confirm it shows up as a key event in GA4 within 24 hours, matching what actually happened.
What this does not cover
We cannot recover Universal Analytics history Google already deleted, and GA4 numbers will not match old UA numbers exactly, because the two measure activity differently. Full BigQuery export pipelines are scoped separately if you want them.
How the setup runs.
01
Review what exists
We check whether a GA4 property already exists and how it is configured, and confirm what can still be pulled from any old Universal Analytics property.
02
Configure and map events
Key events set up to match your real conversions, retention extended, and consent or cross domain settings added if your site needs them.
03
Test and hand off
A real test action confirms the event fires correctly, then you get admin access and a plain explanation of what each key event means.
Google Analytics 4 FAQ.
Universal Analytics stopped processing new data in mid-2023, so if you still have one, it is a historical record only. We can export what is still available, but anything Google already deleted cannot be recovered.
They measure differently. UA counted by session, GA4 counts by individual event, so totals for the same period will not line up exactly even on a well configured property. That is expected, not a sign something is broken.
Whatever action actually matters to your business: a submitted lead form, a completed booking, a finished purchase. We set these up to match your real goals instead of leaving GA4 on its defaults.
Not always, but it makes ongoing changes much easier. If you do not have it set up, we can add it as part of this job or scope it separately if your setup is more involved.
Yes, that is a separate but related job. Once GA4 is tracking real key events, a Looker Studio dashboard can pull those numbers into one report.
