Platforms / WordPress SEO
A WordPress SEO agency that checks the plugins first.
WordPress can do almost anything, which is why so many sites built on it end up slow and confused. Two SEO plugins fight over the same tags, a page builder loads scripts on every page, and one checkbox tells Google to stay away. We clean up the setup, then write the pages your customers search for.

What changes on WordPress
The four layers of a WordPress site that decide how it ranks.
The SEO plugin layer
Yoast SEO and Rank Math both handle titles, meta descriptions, canonical tags and XML sitemaps. WordPress core also makes its own sitemap at wp-sitemap.xml, which the plugins usually switch off. Trouble starts when two plugins are active, or when a theme adds its own SEO fields. We keep one tool in charge and remove the duplicates.
Themes and page builders
Elementor, Divi and heavy multipurpose themes wrap each section in layers of extra markup and load fonts, sliders and animation scripts on pages that never use them. That hurts Largest Contentful Paint and Interaction to Next Paint, two of Google's Core Web Vitals. We trim what loads per page, or plan a move to the block editor when trimming is not enough.
Settings that sink rankings
Under Settings, Reading there is a box labelled "Discourage search engines from indexing this site". Developers tick it during a build and sometimes forget to untick it at launch. Changing the permalink structure without redirects breaks every old link. Attachment pages and empty tag archives create thin pages by the hundred. We check all of these on day one.
Schema that matches the business
SEO plugins output a basic schema graph with your organization, web pages and articles. A plumber, a clinic or a law office needs more: LocalBusiness details, services, opening hours and areas served. We add the right types once, in one place, so the plugin, the theme and a reviews widget are not each printing their own version.
What $50 a page gets you on WordPress.
Service and location pages
Most WordPress sites have one Services page listing everything. People search for one thing at a time, like "furnace repair" or "estate lawyer near me". We write one page per service and per real service area, each with its own FAQ, and link them so both Google and visitors can move between them.
Hosting and updates are part of SEO
Cheap shared hosting and out-of-date plugins cause slow pages, downtime and hacked sites that fill with spam links. We tell you when your host is the bottleneck, and we can harden the site as a separate job. Your SEO work is wasted if the site goes down every other week.
How progress is measured
We connect Google Search Console, and the Site Kit plugin if you want the numbers inside your WordPress dashboard. Each month you see clicks and impressions for the pages we wrote. We describe what changed and why, and we never promise a position in the results.
What is not included
Full redesigns, new themes, plugin licence fees and link outreach are outside the per-page price. If the theme is beyond saving, we quote a rebuild from our one-time website packages, which run $1,500 to $20,000+, or a theme migration with redirects that keep your old links working.
How we take over a WordPress site.
01
Get safe access
We ask for an editor or admin login, confirm backups exist, and look at the site on a staging copy when your host provides one.
02
Fix the foundation
One SEO plugin, clean indexing settings, redirects for broken links, and the worst speed problems handled first.
03
Write every month
Ten or more pages a month, each targeting one search, published through your normal editor so your team can still edit them.
WordPress SEO questions.
Either one works when it is set up well. The plugin matters much less than the pages and the settings. If your site already runs one, we keep it rather than switching, because a switch can change titles and schema across the whole site at once.
It is not a penalty, but it makes pages heavier and slower. A small site with light pages can rank fine on Elementor. A large site with heavy templates usually gains speed by moving to the block editor or a lighter theme, which we can plan with redirects.
WordPress pages cost what any other page costs with us: $50 CAD or $38 USD each, ten a month at minimum. Setup is free and you are never locked in. Unhappy after month one? The guarantee covers the first 30 days, so you owe nothing. Any technical fixes, like plugin cleanup or redirects, are listed in your free proposal before work starts.
Rarely. Most WordPress speed and SEO problems come from too many plugins, not too few. We would rather remove three than add one. When something is needed, like a redirect manager, we tell you what it does and why.
Yes, both. For businesses serving both countries we check that pages mention the right province or state, that phone numbers and addresses match your Google Business Profile, and that prices show the right currency.
