Implementations / Form to Ads
Connect Typeform submissions to your CRM and Google Ads.
A Typeform that looks great and converts well on the page is only half the job. If the click that brought someone to it never reaches your CRM or your ad account, you are optimizing blind. We wire the whole chain together. The same hidden field pattern works whether the ad click happened seconds before or the visitor bookmarked the page and returned later the same day.

The workflow
From a filled out question to a logged conversion.
The field map
Typeform lets you add hidden fields to a form, fields the respondent never sees but that carry data you pass in through the page URL. We map your CRM's lead fields to Typeform's questions, plus a hidden field for the click ID. A multi step Typeform, with several question screens, maps the same way, we just decide which screen's answer matters most in the CRM.
The identity match
When someone lands on the page hosting your Typeform from a Google Ad, we capture the gclid from the URL and prefill it into the hidden field before the form even loads, so it rides along with every answer they give. If the visitor arrived through an organic result instead, that field simply stays empty, which is expected, not an error.
Where the data enters
Typeform can trigger a webhook, or a Zapier or Make connection, the instant a form is completed. That trigger pushes the answers and the hidden gclid into your CRM as a new lead, and separately into Google Ads as an offline conversion. We prefer a direct webhook where your CRM supports one, since it removes a step that could otherwise fail.
How failures surface
If a visitor's link stripped the URL parameters, which some link shorteners and in-app browsers do, the hidden field arrives empty. The lead still lands in your CRM, it just cannot be matched back to the ad click for bidding purposes. We track how often this happens each month, since a rising rate can point to a page that needs fixing.
What makes this hold up over time.
Access we need first
Editor access to your Typeform account to add the hidden field and webhook, access to your CRM to confirm where leads should land, and access to Google Ads to set up the conversion action. We do not need access to your CRM's full data, only the specific fields this workflow touches.
What gets delivered
A hidden field wired into your live form, a tested connection into your CRM, a working Google Ads offline conversion import, and a plain written note on what an unmatched lead looks like and why. We also leave a short written record of every setting changed, so a future audit is straightforward.
The acceptance test
We submit a real test entry through your actual form, following an actual ad click's URL pattern, and confirm it lands correctly in your CRM and shows up as expected inside Google Ads. If that first test does not land cleanly in both places, we keep testing until it does.
What is out of scope
The questions your Typeform asks, and how your sales team follows up once a lead lands in the CRM, are yours to decide. We build the pipe between the form, the CRM, and the ad account, and a redesign of the questions themselves for completion rate would be a separate project entirely.
How the setup runs.
01
Audit
We check how your Typeform is embedded, which CRM you use, and whether any hidden fields or webhooks already exist on the form before we touch anything.
02
Build
We wire up the hidden gclid field, point the webhook at your CRM, and set up the Google Ads offline conversion import with the right conversion name and value if one applies.
03
Verify
We run a real test submission from a real ad click URL pattern, confirm it lands in the CRM and in Google Ads, and hand you a short note on how to check it monthly.
Typeform to CRM to Ads FAQ.
It works with any CRM that accepts a webhook, an API call, or a Zapier and Make connection, which covers most CRMs in common use. We confirm compatibility with your specific CRM before quoting the build.
That is normal and usually fine. The hidden field capture happens through the page URL that loads the Typeform embed, not through the page builder itself, so most setups can carry the parameter through.
Either. If your Typeform includes a question that implies value, such as a budget range, we can pass an estimated value. Otherwise it sends as a flat qualified lead conversion, which is common and fine.
It still reaches your CRM as a normal lead. It simply will not be counted as an ad conversion in Google Ads, since there is no click to tie it to. We report that unmatched rate rather than hide it.
