Wellness exams

The yearly visit that catches problems early. We check your pet from nose to tail, talk through food, weight, teeth, and behaviour, and plan only the vaccines and tests your pet's life calls for. You leave with a written summary, not a guessing game.

How it works

What happens, step by step.

  1. Check-in and weigh-in

A treat, a weigh-in, and straight to a room. Cats go to the cat-only room, away from dogs.

  2. The exam

Nose to tail, at your pet's pace. We tell you what we see as we go, good news included.

  3. The plan

Vaccines due, tests worth doing, and what can safely wait. Every cost is said out loud before anything happens.

  4. The summary

A written visit summary by email the same day, with a reminder set for next time.

Who you'll see

Any of these vets.

"Pickle usually hides in her carrier for the whole visit. Dr. Raman sat on the floor and let her come out on her own. First vet trip in years with no hissing from either of us."

Questions we hear

Fair questions, plain answers.

How often does my pet need a wellness exam?

Once a year for most adult dogs and cats. Puppies and kittens come in every 3 to 4 weeks until their vaccine series is done. Seniors (dogs 8 and up, cats 10 and up) do better with two visits a year, because things change faster.

Is it worth it if my pet seems fine?

Pets are good at hiding pain and illness. Dental disease, weight gain, and heart murmurs often show no outside signs at first. Finding them early usually means simpler, cheaper care. No exam can catch everything, but a yearly look gives your pet the best chance.

Can I bring two pets to one appointment?

Yes. Book one visit per pet back to back, or call and we'll set it up. Each pet gets their own exam and their own summary.
